PROTECTING THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION We take our responsibility to protect the privacy and confidentiality of customer information very seriously. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to comply with federal standards to store and secure information that we obtain. We WILL NOT provide any information we receive from any electronic source to anyone outside HMS. WHO IS COVERED BY THE PRIVACY POLICY? Our privacy policy extends to all clients and prospective clients of HMS and to all information received electronically or through other sources in our possession. INFORMATION WE RECEIVE ABOUT YOU As you become more familiar with and accustomed to using electronic transmission of information, you may find that new information is being provided to HMS. As we develop and implement systems for electronic transmission and storage of insurance and claims information, we will want to share that information with you. We may also have public information such as consumer credit reports and credit history. NONE OF THIS INFORMATION will be shared with any business or other enterprise outside HMS. INFORMATION HMS SHARES HMS will share normal underwriting and insurance related information with insurance carriers it represents. Such transactions will be in the normal course of transacting business on your behalf. SUMMARY In other words, HMS Insurance Associates WILL NOT share or distribute any information secured or received electronically about you or your company except to the extent that such information is relates DIRECTLY to the management and implementation of your insurance or surety bonding program. | | |
